CLOVER - A woman was accused of threatening her neighborhood’s homeowners association after an ongoing argument over her owning a pot bellied pig took off on Facebook, York County deputies said.
The 35 year old woman lives in the Mill Creek Falls neighborhood and has owned a pot bellied pig, named "Rosie Bacon," for at least the last 2 years while she has been renting a home in the subdivision, she told WBTV.
The neighborhood homeowners association (HOA) found out about the pig and has been asking the woman, who is married and has 3 daughters, to remove the pig from their neighborhood.
The feud has been going on for some time and in the last few weeks surfaced on Facebook, deputies said. On the social networking site the woman placed an image of a gun with a backward facing barrel with the words “Made especially for HOA Board Members,” according to a report last week from deputies.
Police were called after someone spotted the image on Facebook, deputies said in the report. But, no charges were filed and the woman told WBTV the image was not meant as a threat.
The woman told WBTV that she is not sure what will happen next, but that she continues to demand that she can keep the pig in her house and on her property.
