Deputies: Clover man had, distributed child porn | News

CLOVER, SC (WBTV)- A Clover man is behind bars and facing 16 charges after deputies say he was busted with child pornography.

According to the York County Sheriff's Office, detectives received a tip that Hugh Douglas Butler, 53, may be in possession of and distributing images of child pornography. 

Detectives began an investigation and say Butler signed over several computer storage devices. After a search warrant was filed to search the computer devices, detectives located multiple images and videos of child pornography.

The department's Computer Forensics Unit, along with the South Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, arrested Butler on 16 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor 3^rd Degree.

Butler was booked into the Moss Justice Detention Center.
