Rock Hill group plans Alaskan cruise, deadline approaching | Events

ROCK HILL - The Happy Travelers are planning a cruise to Alaska in 2013. Spots are still available, but the deadline to register is approaching.

The 7-night cruise is scheduled on the Celebrity Millennium for June 7-19, 2013. Participants will start with a flight from Charlotte to Vancouver, British Columbia. Stops include Vancouver, Ketchikan, Icy Straight Point, Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier, and Seward.

The Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is sponsoring the group and sent out the following information.

If you are interested, rates per person  for the cruise are $2,583 (inside cabin), $2,735 (outside cabin), or $3,185 (balcony). That includes the cuirse, port charges, taxes/fees, cruise gratuitees, airfare and taxes. Cancellation insurance is available, but must be purchased while registering. A payment plan is available, but the total due must be paid by March 1, 2013.

A Cruise Tour is also available, which includes the regular cruise and four days on land. Details are available from Parks, Recreation and Tourism officials upon request.
