ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - Police say a man has confessed to the murder of a 25-year-old woman who was shot outside a Rock Hill home late Saturday night. Officers say the man then abducted the couple's 2-year-old son, and was caught about nine hours later near Georgia state line.
Officers were out conducting a patrol when they heard gunshots fired around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, according to Lieutenant Brad Redfearn with the Rock Hill Police Department.
When officers arrived at 234 Robinson Street, they found Shrece Charlete Robinson lying in the driveway. This home is where Robinson's estranged husband, Carl White Jr., 25, lives with his parents.
According to the arrest warrant issued on Sunday, Robinson was shot with a .38 revolver while arguing with White.

Police say White then went to another home on Hyacinthia Lane, located about 3 miles away, where he picked up the couple's 23-month-old son, Zaylen, according to police. The report says White left the home "in a highly emotional state of mind."
When police determined what happened, they issued an Amber Alert for Zaylen.
A truck driver spotted the 2002 Ford Expedition White was driving in Lexington, police told WBTV, and followed it until the Aiken County Sheriff's Office could conduct a traffic stop.
Lt. Redfearn told WBTV that White was pulled over by deputies on Sunday around 9 a.m. on Interstate 20 near the Georgia border. Zaylen was found safe inside the sports utility vehicle.
White was taken into custody. He was charged with DUI and child endangerment.
Detectives with the Rock Hill Police Department interviewed White at the Aiken County jail on Sunday, where they say he confessed to murdering Robinson. The RHPD has now issued a murder warrant against White.
During a hearing on Monday morning, a judge issued a bond for White of $2,154.50. He's facing charges of open container, alcoholic beverage transportation in a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and child endangerment.
Court officials told WBTV that charges would have to play out in Aiken County before he would be turned over to police in Rock Hill.
Meanwhile, family members gathered at Robinson's home on Sunday.
"She didn't deserve this," said Robinson's cousin, Mary Edwards.
The family members we spoke to said they would lean on each other and pull together for Zaylen.
"We're a pretty close-knit family, and it just sent a shock wave through us," Robinson's cousin Charles Douglas said. "She will definitely not be forgotten. We do have Zaylen to keep that memory with us."
Police say White has a criminal history of violence, being arrested on at least four different occasions since 2005.
Officers say White was charged with criminal sexual conduct against a minor in 2005.
Since then, he's twice been charged and convicted of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He's also been charged and convicted of pointing and presenting a firearm and possession of cocaine.
