Teen arrested, charged with attempted murder
Rock Hill - Police announced a second arrest in an attempted murder at the Cherry Road Food and Beverage Store.
Kairon Brenton Maldonado, 17, of Rock Hill is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a violent crime and criminal conspiracy.
In a release Friday, investigators said Maldonado and another suspect robbed the Cherry Road Food and Beverage Store on July 25. Police said Maldonado was armed with a .22 Remington rifle and used it to shoot a man during the robbery.
Police said that rifle has been recovered and Maldonado is behind bars. His bond will be set Friday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
