Parks and Rec planning a Winter Waterfall Hike
ROCK HILL - Join Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism for a one day Winter Waterfall Hike at South Mountains State Park north of Shelby, NC.
The 3 mile moderately rugged trail follows the crystal clear Jacob Fork River to the base of High Shoals Falls and then returns to the picnic area where the group will relax and have lunch before returning to Rock Hill. The scenery and crisp mountain air are sure to get your heart pumping and relieve some stress.
The trip is being planned for on Saturday January 22rd.
Transportation is included and the group will depart from Rock Hill City Hall at 8am and return around 2:30pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, snacks and water. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended.
The cost is $25 per person.
