Easter Seals United Cerebral Palsy is holding a 5k fundraising race this weekend.
The Great Glow Run is a glow-in-the-dark 5k race benefiting more than 20,000 individuals and their families through support and services related to Cerebral Palsy.
While running is the theme of the event, walking is also permitted. Baby strollers and dogs are allowed on the course.
Awards are given to the first place winners in each category.
Live entertainment, amazing visual effects and a costume contest add to the evening's fun.
Walkers and runners can join the fundraising effort at the Charlotte Knights Stadium, located at 2280 Deerfield Drive in Fort Mill, Friday May 3, at 8:30 p.m.
Registration is required, at a fee of $30. Participants can register on the day of the event, for $40.
